June 1st                         Diamond Jubilee paddle down the Hamble River
on the day before the Big One!   you are invited to join us on a sponsored paddle on the Hamble River from the Manor Farm Country Park pontoon to Warsash and back.  All you need to do is sign up, complete a booking form, pay a £6 registration charge and collect loads of sponsorship!  And then turn up on the day and paddle.  Everything raised will go into the Raising the Roof Appeal!

 

June 2nd – 5th               Diamond Jubilee paddle round the Isle of Wight
Three centre staff – Kerry Lees, Graham Marks and Nick Cann – will be paddling around the Isle of Wight from Warsash during the Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend.  They are planning on tackling the 70 mile journey over three days to help raise funds for the Raising the Roof Appeal.

 

June 6th – 8th                eXteme Explorers trip
A weekend of walking, canoeing, more walking, camping, bushcraft.  Explore the Hamble valley on foot and by canoe with an expedition covering the entire tidal stretch of the Hamble River during the week of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee. 
Explorers will arrive on Wednesday evening and settle in, getting a good night’s rest before Expedition Day.  On Thursday morning we’ll set off on foot from the Centre, along the Strawberry Trail to Botley.  At Botley we’ll load up into canoes and paddle downstream all the way to Hamble, stopping en route for food. We’ll disembark at Hamble Quay and follow the Strawberry Trail again, through the historic villages of Hamble and Bursledon arriving back in the woods of Manor Farm Country Park.  We’ll set up camp and cook, eat and sleep under the stars.*
Friday morning will start with breakfast round the campfire, developing into a morning of bushcraft activities.  After lunch there will the option of taking part in some of the Centre’s wide range of activities.
*optional!  Anybody who really can’t manage to sleep under the stars will be able to return to the cabins.

Explorers Day Club
From 30th July to August 23rd, each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we will be running our Explorers Day Club for children with additional needs and their siblings. These proved to be a great success last year so make sure you book early.  A variety of activities each day, including adventure activities (climbing, archery, ropes course, canoe), green activities (in the woods and gardens) and arts and crafts.  And the ever popular crabbing.

 Flame Festival
In partnership with Manor Farm Country Park, Cricket Camp Scouts and Eastleigh Borough Council a special event as part of the Paralympic Torch Flame festival
