staff

"half the reason the children achieved so much was the enthusiasm of the staff"

Every week we ask our visitors what they liked and what they didn't like about their visit to the QE2 Activity Centre.  Every week we get told the best thing about the Centre is the "wonderful staff".  So here they are.

Phil Oates, Manager and ringmaster.  BA (Hons), proud parent, Eastleigh Borough Citizen of Honour. Sandal wearing, bearded, Guardian reading, vegetarian.  Briefly in the top 1% of Angry Birds players. Worldwide!

Kerry Lees - Senior Instructor.  Wild food eating, puddle jumping, sea kayaking, tree hugging, river paddling, fire making, carp fishing, rock climbing and underground exploring all make Kerry very happy!

hi I'm Lynda Lee, GreenHouse day service co-ordinator. I've worked with people with disabilities since 1996 and qualified as a teacher in 2010.  I'm passionate about gardening and the great outdoors and keen to help others learn about woodland, wildlife and gardening.

Graham Marks - Instructor.  Another talented member of the team Graham is happiest out on the river, as long as the sun is shining.  Ever the entrepreneur Graham is full of money making schemes.  Order your 2012 Christmas tree from him now!

Nick Cann - Instructor.  If anyone can, Nick can.  Canoeist, climber, geek and not a bad chippy, blacksmith, brickie or joiner - for an outdoors instructor.  Enjoys all outdoor sports that don't involve balls.  Preys upon doughnuts and cake, which he runs mercilessly to the ground and devours.

Lawrence Parker - Instructor is the shortest instructor on the team and has been working in the outdoor industry since 2004.  Is a qualified teacher and good at science stuff.  He is drawn like a moth towards a flame towards flames and cakes.

Russell Farley - GreenHouse co-worker, Russell, MSc, enjoys copious amounts of cake, then attempts to offset his huge calorific intake by being active and outdoors whenever possible.  This year his aim is to be able to snowboard in a straight line
